I went to check it out cuz I love trout fishing and I liked the options they have… like if you want a little fight they have a pond for that and than if you take your kids or in my case siblings… it’s perfect and very clean place!!

Family friendly | lots of fun guaranteedOur 6 yr old daughter has been into fishing since she was 2 yrs old. She started off with a Fisher Price fishing kit and then was given a real set of her own. We took her to places like Bishop, Leavenworth, Clear Lake and Lost Lake, and other camping spots to practice her casting, but yesterday was her first time catching REAL trout! This may be the highlight of the summer for her.Easy to navigate finding this trout farm. There are signs everywhere in what seems like a residential place. We were greeted by this friendly woman who gave us fishing rods, some worms, a bucket with some water, and a net. She told us that ponds 1 & 2 have smaller fish, ponds 3-5 have medium to big fish, and the pond further in the back has the biggest fish. They were restocking ponds 4 & 5 when we arrived on a Tuesday. This is an excellent place to take your kids and for everyone to learn how to fish. We were told by friends and family we were guaranteed to catch fish here, so we expected to easily get our first one within an hour of arriving, but we ended up spending a couple of hours here first before catching our first one. We learned a lot!Everyone was catching fish all around us, so we stepped up our luring game and bought a small jar of power bait. We even put a worm with the power bait and that's when we started catching fish. I did see some folks catch with just a worm on their hook, and there were some others with power bait.My kid was so excited to catch her first fish. It's exciting to feel the fish fight back when you reel them in. We caught 3 trout at pond 5.There are benches to sit on. Lots of trees for some shade. Two 13" and one 14" rainbow trout is what we walked away with. The man at the cleaning station was friendly and did everything for us. All we had to do is show up and have fun at this place. Two portable potties in the parking lot and flushing toilets near the cleaning station. In the women's restroom there is a smaller toilet for the kids next to an adult toilet. I thought that was very accommodating. Vending machines for drinks and snacks.

Myself, my wife and my great grandkids had a wonderful time there. It was the kids first fishing experience and I wanted them to be successful their first time out. They were so excited when they caught their first fish and after catching a few more they even got over the fear of handing them. The farm is in great shape and the people there are happy to help. We are looking forward to our next trip there soon.

10 out of 10. I definitely recommend it. We caught 5 fish. 4 smalls and 1 17-inch one. They are beautiful. We are smoking the big one now. He said his dad opened it in 82'.

Very cool family owned place. 6 ponds to fish from. Love it here very fair prices good size fish and very nice quality fish too. Fun for everyone any age. You don’t need a license or anything they give you all you need. No limit either. Keep what you catch and pay for what you caught. Very nice people.

From my childhood passion for fishing to now sharing the joy with my 5-year-old, Rainbow Trout Farms in Sandy has become our ultimate fishing sanctuary. As a parent who understands the joy of fishing but also the hassle of cleaning, this place has exceeded our expectations. The diverse ponds, each specific to fish size, allow us to curate the perfect fishing adventure. Our family loves casting our lines in the larger pond, aiming for those truly impressive catches. The transparent pricing structure ensures that we can choose the pond that best suits our preferences. The best part... No more worrying about cleaning the fish – it's a game-changer. The staff takes care of the dirty work, leaving us with a catch that's ready to be cooked as soon as we get home, saving us precious time and effort. No need to bring your own pole, bait, net, or bucket – they've got you covered. And if you happen to break the line, they'll provide you with a new pole.My kids eagerly anticipate our visits, and it has evolved into cherished family memories. Whether you're an experienced angler or a beginner, Rainbow Trout Farms delivers an exceptional fishing experience for everyone. Highly recommended for stress-free, family-friendly fishing!
